I have completed five pieces of research today. In the first piece, I basically integrated several keywords to make a complete mood board. Since most of the pictures were second-hand, I also added some hand-painted pictures, such as the man in black behind the scenes, and I drew an action of removing the mask, which means to express the false face.
The keyword of the second piece controls, through the red line traction to express control, scissors cut short rope abstract expression dream is shattered. Through the rope and broken elements, I think of gauze. Through the method of drawing the silk, the weft and warp lines will be torn, and gauze also has the feeling of knitting, so I think I can use some gauze to make samples in the subsequent weaving.
The third page mainly expresses the ballet dancers’ hard training. Firstly, the original lace in the costume is extracted as a part of the element. Secondly, because of the injury and bleeding during training, I combined band-Aid and Glitter glue to show the feeling of blood flow.
The fourth page mainly expresses that in the background of the 19th century, if these ballerinas do not obey their Sugar daddy, they may be coerced, including giving the ballerinas drugs to achieve their goals and giving the stage. They had to do this for their dreams, so I added some actual pills in addition to the college, which gave me the inspiration for the fifth page. I weaved the pills based on an ordinary fabric, but because they were easily damaged after being exposed to air for a long time, I sealed them with glue drops.
In my opinion, the deepest feeling after finishing these pages is a logical progression. We should think about how to apply them to fabrics or further develop them at a certain point. This makes the page richer.
