I finished four pages those days after last week’s content. The first page is based on the film “Dancer” I saw last week, combined with the background of the original Edgar’s Ballet, which reveals the appearance behind the stage of the 19th-century theater. I chose red cellophane for the opening of the curtain.

The second page is to do the research about the sugar daddy in the suit, made the coin shape, glue guns embody the hostess for money and power at that time had to give in to men who wear a suit, the suit this point, my idea is suit collar profile can also be later in the knitted piece combination, and I do some experiment on the people.

The third page is extended by the keywords “imprisonment” and “shackles”. I think the chain can represent imprisonment. The girls were supposed to dance freely, but only by making those billionaires freely thus, they may have the opportunity to perform on the stage. It’s like being chained to freedom. In this page, I also use the element of gauze, which is extracted from the training injury of ballet dancers, and this is also something I think can be incorporated into the fabric I weave.

The last page is extended from the third page. The main keywords in addition to “chains” and “imprisonment”, I also think of surveillance, Those called merchants keep their eyes on the beautiful ballerinas. Many dancers lost the chance to perform, and at that time, performing on stage was their only dream. I drew a lot of eyeballs. When I was extending, I accidentally saw a piece of fabric at hand that looked like the red blood in my eyes, so I cut it down and made a collage for an extension. I used chains to show that they are trapped. Later, I think the chain can also replace some ordinary wool and be used in my fabric sample.

I think the collage is part of the page in the early stage, and the extension with some materials can also help determine the materials that should be selected in the later experiment and used in the weaving.
