In class this week, Giles suggested that we should go to see Alexander McQueen’s exhibition, so I went there at the weekend, this exhibition was on old Bond Street. It’s a high-setting exhibition about roses, mostly high-setting dresses designed by Mcqueen and Sarah Burton. There is also a small rotating projection space is also designed to play the video pictures of the show in previous years.

In addition to the exquisite clothing itself, I also saw the development process of each piece of clothing closely, from research-development-sample-fitting-final, especially because in this project, my final theme is to use flowers to show the beautiful side of ballet girls breaking through shackles, which is very helpful for my design. I also saw many exquisite embroidery designs, whether on the cuff or a single embroidered fabric, which made me feel very shocked. Although the exhibition was small, I watched it for more than an hour and learned a lot. I think this exhibition is really worth seeing, Textile design techniques, especially for me to learn textile knitting in the future.
